Zelda - Chosen by Destiny (WIP/Feedback Needed) by DarkoDesign Zelda - Chosen by Destiny (WIP/Feedback Needed) by DarkoDesign

Similarly to my other piece "Zelda - The Legend Begins" this poster is a second part to that design that made up my original Victorian style portraits. I just now applied the same mistake to this one. Unlike the other poster though, this one I am not happy with yet. Zelda's hair was really a troublesome part as I kept changing my mind on how the hair style would be made up. Felt like sharing and getting some feedback especially from those who commented on the first one.

Don't forget to check out my other piece Zelda - The Legend Begins - darkodesign.deviantart.com/art…

That's very cool!  The lines of her neck have me a bit confused, perhaps distinguish her hair and skin a bit more?

Thanks for the comment firstly. I wanted to clarify some things with what you mentioned, in terms of the lines on her neck, is it the lines crossing diagonal right? If so it is in a similar style to my Zelda - The Legend begins and when you mean distinguishing hair and skin. One is black and the other white or did you mean you can't make out the seperation? I hope that makes some sense as I was a little confused by your comments.

I think it's simply that her face is fairly solid, so the empty space of the front of her neck (which is shadowed, right?) just looks like her neck is partially missing.  But that's not to say that I don't love it.

It's not a big deal, I didn't notice it right away.

Thanks for clarifying. I get what you mean now, as I have been looking at it as I have been working on it I have always been seeing the lines that make up the elements.

It can be hard to see subtleties of your own work.  Peer reviews are fantastic when they come from helpful (and talented) sources.
